Small-Craft-Barrier (SCB-32)
PORT SECURITY BARRIERS, FLOATING ANTI-TERROR BARRIERS
SCB stands for Small-Craft-Barrier. Worthington’s SCB-32 barrier system is designed for low and medium level threats and more limited security budgets. Our SCB-32 barrier system has been successfully tested in physical crash tests and has proven capable of stopping vessels up to 24-feet in length with modest payloads and velocities. The SCB system consists of a series of floatation units on top of which are mounted either 2-rows (SCB-32) or 3-rows (SCB-48) rows of high strength capture cable.
Worthington’s SCB systems have been installed at Nuclear Power Plants, Drinking Water Supply Reservoirs, a Nigerian LNG terminal, several major USA high risk hydroelectric power plants and at the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
The modular construction and low profile of the SCB system translates into lower design, engineering, transportation and installation costs. As with ALL Worthington security barriers, the SCB system can be assembled at a remote location and easily towed to its final destination. Optional secure boat gates, marine lighting, signs and netting add to this products effectiveness.
