UNDER WATER DEBRIS SCREENS

TUFFBOOM barriers are, by themselves, great at catching, diverting and controlling floating surface debris, vegetation, trash and ice. There are times however, when you need a barrier that can also catch debris floating just below the surface. Debris that is not quite waterlogged yet not so fresh that it floats along on the surface.

Worthington’s SCR Debris Screens are the perfect accessory to extend the debris catching capability of TUFFBOOM barriers to as much as 50” (127 CM) below the water surface. Each SCR screen attaches easily and securely to the underside of the TUFFBOOM barrier via two specially modified connector lugs. Individual screen sections are connected together via chain to form a durable underwater barrier to sub-surface debris. We’ve designed the SCR Screens so that they can be supplied with your new booms or, new SCR screens can be attached to older booms simply by changing out two (2) bolts on the bottom of each boom.

SCR Screens are made from rigid tubular steel framing and include a choice of facing materials including: open ¾” diamond pattern metal mesh, sheet metal or solid rubber sheeting.
