The BoatBuster shear boom is used on larger bodies of water where high wind and wave action necessitate a larger diameter boom with greater freeboard and buoyancy than standard debris booms. BoatBuster units come in custom lengths from 20 ft to 30 ft and with site specific screening options. A thick walled internal steel channel provides the basis from which debris and ice skirts are attached. Heavy duty engineered connections assure freedom of movement in all wind and wave conditions. A special feature of these mammoth barriers is the modular design which allows individual floatation units to be removed and replaced without having to remove the entire boom line. This saves valuable time and money in the long term.
